We’ve seen a rise in Giardia cases in dogs lately. This microscopic parasite infects the intestines, leading to gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhoea, weight loss, and dehydration.

Giardia can also spread from dogs to humans, causing similar symptoms. Good hygiene and proper environmental disinfection are key to preventing transmission.

Those with weakened immune systems should take extra care, especially when handling faeces or administering medication.
