Radiographs are a very important tool to help us diagnose diseases in animals.
We have state of the art digital imaging to cover your pet from nose to tail.
Digital radiography are a safe and non-invasive way for our vets to look inside your pet’s body, so they can diagnose conditions which are soft tissue and bone related.
Some of these conditions may include:
- Fractures
- Osteoarthritis
- Dislocations
- Bone cancer
- Spinal issues
- Enlarged heart
- Chest or lung conditions
- Foreign bodies in the stomach or intestinal tract
- Kidney disease
- Bladder stones
- Constipation
Most xrays are performed under a light sedation. However, where the positions can be uncomfortable or stressful for our fury friends, we may need to put them under general anaesthetic.
At your discharge appointment, your vet will go over the findings and you will also be able to see your pets x-rays.
If you have any questions about x-rays or concerns about your pet’s health, call Happy Paws today.
